Everyone has a unique personality that drives them to act and react differently from one another. However, knowing yourself and others more in-depth, you can connect and align more easily with the world. What personality type are you?

Myers Briggs Type Indicator Test (MBTI)

One of the more widely used tests is the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator test. MBTI uses an extensive list of questions to give you a personality type based on the answer. Within the MBTI® Manual, the ideas below within their program help to describe your personality type:

  • Favorite world: Do you prefer to focus on the outer world or your inner world? Extraversion (E) or Introversion (I).
  • Information: Do you prefer to focus on the essential information you take in or to interpret and add meaning? Sensing (S) or Intuition (N).
  • Decisions: When making decisions, do you prefer to first look at logic and consistency or first look at the people and exceptional circumstances? Thinking (T) or Feeling (F).
  • Structure: In dealing with the outside world, do you prefer to get things decided or to stay open to new information and options? Judging (J) or Perceiving (P).

What’s Your Personality Type?

First, your answers will determine which letters describe you in each category. But you will combine the results to reveal your personality type. The results will help you because you understand your personality better. But knowing this information is not only powerful for yourself but others. You can use the knowledge to avoid unnecessary triggers and help calm yourself down when triggered.

You can use the industry-wide Myers Briggs or another method to help you identify your personality type and understand yourself and others better so that you can work more effectively as a team.
